IND vs PAK: Watch - 'Arrogant' Babar Azam disrespects Mohammad Amir and ignores his advice; pays price as Pakistan lose to USA

Pakistan captain Babar Azam didn’t have a great game against the United States of America (USA) in the T20 World Cup 2024. The match between the two teams took place at the Grand Prairie International Stadium on Thursday (6th June). 

Babar Azam as a captain came under a lot of scrutiny as Pakistan faced a thrashing loss against the United States of America (USA) in the T20 World Cup 2024. The Men in Green lost the game in the Super over and received a lot of criticism from the fans as well as experts. 

It’s fair to say that Babar Azam made quite a few errors as captain of the team and it cost them the match. Some of the bowling changes that he made were questioned by many and also team didn’t have a great outing in the field as well. 

Babar Azam also didn’t listen to his teammate as well and this was quite evident when Mohammad Amir suggested him to continue with fast bowlers. The fast bowler after the 15th over, advised the skipper that he shouldn’t go with spinners because batters are facing difficulty against pacers. 

However, skipper Babar Azam didn’t listen to the suggestion by Amir and went with Shadab Khan. The move backfired as the leg-spinner gave away 11 runs and the USA batters got the momentum and tied the game.

Mohammad Amir bowled well in the death as he nailed his yorkers to perfection. He made run-scoring hard for the batters. Aaron Jones (36*) and Nitish Kumar tried their best with the bat and held their nerves. They took the game deep as the match ended in a tie and moved to super over. 

In the super over, Mohammad Amir didn’t have a great outing. He looked out of rhythm as USA Aaron Jones and Harmeet Singh batted well and posted 18 runs and lost one wicket. With the ball, Netravalkar bowled sensationally well and helped his team win the game. 

Pakistan players are annoyed with Babar Azam for his decisions in a game against the USA 

After the game against the USA, reports in GEO News made massive claims. It is learned that some of the players in the team were annoyed with Babar Azam. They were unhappy because the skipper took decisions himself and didn’t take suggestions.

Sources say decisions of Babar Azam in the match against USA actually ANNOYED some players of Pakistan Cricket Team. Babar took no suggestions and made decisions himself. #T20WorldCup

The reports also added that the dictator mindset of Babar Azam has become a point of serious concern for other players of the Pakistan Cricket Team. It is also learned that some of the key players were seen crying in the dressing room after the loss.

Apart from this, the reports also claimed that team management is also not keen to play Azam Khan in the XI for the next game. The keeper-batter has struggled to get going and also bagged a golden duck against the United States of America. Pakistan will be next seen in action when they will take on arch-rivals India. The match will take place on 9th June in New York.
