IND vs SL: Watch - Ishan Kishan Shows Brilliant Glovework While Batting As He Catches A Throw From Sadeera Samarawickrama

The IND vs SL Super 4 match in Colombo has turned on its head with the loss of the Indian top-order. Dunit Wellalage dismissed Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to turn the game on its head for India.

India after a good opening stand of 80 between Rohit and Gill lost three quick wickets to get into trouble. Wellalage extracted benefit from the uneven bounce off the pitch to turn the game towards Sri Lanka.

The delivery that dismissed Gill turned while the Indian batter played for the ball coming in. Kohli was puzzled by the turn and the bounce that he generated off the pitch while Rohit was done by the lack of bounce off the delivery. The three deliveries also pointed out the indifferent bounce in the track, unlike Monday.

After being 91/3, India came back into the game with a 63-run stand between KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan. Just when the partnership was looking good, Wellalage came back into the attack and dismissed Rahul who like Kohli was surprised by the bounce of the delivery in which he was dismissed.

Meanwhile, Kishan came up with a quick reflex and showed impressive glovework to save himself from a throw by Sadeera Samarawickrama. In the 25th over of the Indian innings, Kishan played a ball toward him at the cover. Sadeera who was fielding at covers, fielded the ball and threw it towards Kishan. Kishan was quick to catch the ball as Sadeera Samarawickrama came up with an immediate apology.

All was well in the end, as there was a glimpse of the spirit of cricket and camaraderie between the two sides. India and Sri Lanka both have won a game each in the Super 4 stage. The team that wins this game will go a step closer to the final of Asia Cup 2023. Earlier in the day, India won the toss and opted to bat first.
