IND vs USA: Ravindra Jadeja to be dropped from XI? Bowling coach Paras Mhambrey reacts to All-Rounders' poor form

Team India bowling coach Paras Mhambrey backed all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja amidst poor form, stating that it's unrealistic to expect all players to be in form at the same time. Paras Mhambrey said that head coach Rahul Dravid and batting coach Vikram Rathour have been in discussions with Ravindra Jadeja.
The Rohit Sharma-led team began their T20 World Cup 2024 campaign with back-to-back wins against Ireland and Pakistan. The Men in Blue are currently at the top of the Group A table with a net run rate (NRR) of 1.455. The team needs to win one more match to reach the Super 8s of the ongoing ICC tournament.
Ravindra Jadeja's performance has been disappointing with both bat and ball in the World Cup. The all-rounder didn't bat and bowled only one over in an eight-wicket victory against Ireland. He was dismissed for a golden duck and conceded 10 runs in two overs without taking any wickets against Pakistan.
Don't Expect All Of Them Coming Into Form - Paras Mhambrey
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Paras Mhambrey said that he is pleased with Rahul Dravid and Vikram Rathour's efforts to motivate Ravindra Jadeja.
"I think it's a team game, right? It's going to be 11 guys. You really don't expect all of them coming into form. It's going to be performed every game that will happen. For me, I personally feel whatever conversations Rahul and Vicky are having around, I've been pretty happy with it. And you expect a one-odd game out there," Mhambrey said.
Axar Patel was promoted to No. 4 in the batting order against Pakistan in the recent match. Patel also served as the main spinner in the low-scoring match. Ravindra Jadeja has to improve his performance to cement his place in the playing XI, given that left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav is on the bench.
Ravindra Jadeja Just Needs A Game - Paras Mhambrey
The 51-year-old expressed his confidence that Ravindra Jadeja needs just one game to regain his form. The bowling coach stated that Shivam Dube and other players are also struggling during the World Cup.
"It's a long tournament. I think...someone like Jadeja, who's so vastly experienced, he just needs a game out there to just get his roots around and feel around. And we know that the skills that he has and the experience, he's going to go ahead and he's going to win your games. So that confidence we have in not only Jadeja but honestly with someone like Dube and others as well," Mhambrey added.
Mhambrey emphasized the importance of backing the players regardless of individual setbacks, especially in a tournament like the T20 World Cup.
"You can have one odd game and people will have conversations saying you are given a game, and you're going to have one bad game. That's fine, but the team will back you. And that's what is important in a tournament like this," he added.
The Rohit Sharma-led team will take on the United States of America (USA) in their next match at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Wednesday, June 12. The team management might consider resting senior players if they win their next game.
