He Is A Really Exciting Talent – Ajinkya Rahane
During the pre-match press conference, Ajinkya Rahane praised Yashasvi Jaiswal, describing him as an exciting talent. Rahane encouraged Jaiswal to continue playing his natural game, highlighting the success he has achieved so far with that approach.
“Firstly, I am really happy for him (Jaiswal). He is a really exciting talent. He has done exceptionally well in the domestic cricket for Mumbai and then in the IPL for the Rajasthan Royals. Most importantly the way he is batting in the red ball,” said Rahane.
“He did well in the Duleep Trophy last year. His numbers are really good. My message to him will be just express your batting, don’t think too much about the International cricket. It’s all about going out in the middle and playing your game,” he added.

It’s A Great Opportunity – Ajinkya Rahane
Ajinkya Rahane acknowledged the absence of Cheteshwar Pujara in the playing XI and recognized it as an opportunity for someone else to step up and make their mark. Rahane expressed confidence that whoever gets the chance to bat at number three will do well.
“Definitely, there is an opportunity for someone who will be playing in place of Pujara. It’s a great opportunity for that individual to do well,” he further stated.
“I am not sure who is going to play at number three, but whoever will play, I am sure that guy will do well. I think we all players are pretty much experienced, they did well and batting well at the moment,” he concluded.
Cheteshwar Pujara was dropped from the squad following his poor performances in red-ball cricket this year. Pujara failed to make an impact with the ball in the Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) and World Test Championship (WTC) final.
