India and West Indies are currently locking horns with each other in the first game of the ODI series at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. The visitors won the toss and opted to bat first as they went with the combination of four seamers and two spinners. 

Sanju Samson wasn’t given a chance in the first game as the team management preferred playing Ishan Kishan over him. But Suryakumar didn’t allow fans to miss his presence on the field as he confused many with his attire.

Suryakumar Yadav was seen donning Samson’s jersey in the first ODI on the field. This caught many by surprise even commentators who then confirmed the development on air. The reason behind the jersey saga is yet to be known. 

Coming to the game, India tried something different in the ongoing game as they let Hardik Pandya take the new ball. The move worked well as the all-rounder exhibited good swing bowling and took the wicket of Kyle Mayers in the second over he bowled.
