It was the 100th Test between two of the most successful teams in the game. For Virat Kohli, it was his 500th international match as he joined an elite list of very few players. He became only the fourth Indian player after Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, and MS Dhoni to achieve the feat.
The right-handed batsman celebrated his milestone game by scoring a sublime century in the first innings of the game. He scored 121 to end his 5-year wait for an overseas Test century. The Test, however, ended in a draw as rain washed out the entire fifth day.
