IND vs WI: "Will See Yashasvi Jaiswal Play For India For A Long Time"- Harbhajan Singh

Yashasvi Jaiswal has been a hot favourite since making a cracking Test debut in Dominica earlier this week. He scored 171 which is the third-highest score by an Indian batter on Test debut. His knock set the platform for India’s victory by an innings and 141 runs.

Rohit Sharma was very vocal about playing Jaiswal in the first test as it would solve India’s problems for a left-right batting combination. The combination worked out perfectly as Rohit and Jaiswal added a 229-run opening stand for the first wicket to set the platform for the team.

Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh was impressed by what he saw from the southpaw’s bat in Dominica and went on to make a huge comment on his future with the Indian cricket team.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has No Shortage Of Talent: Harbhajan Singh

“Yashasvi Jaiswal has had an impact straightaway in international cricket. Although he will be disappointed to have missed out on getting a double hundred, I feel we are going to see him play for India for a very long time. There’s no shortage of talent and my advice to Jaiswal would be that work really hard because you have what it takes to conquer the world,” said Harbhajan on his Youtube channel.

He further spoke about Virat Kohli‘s innings saying that he will be disappointed not to score a century. Kohli scored 76 runs off 182 balls, hitting five boundaries. It was a different kind of an innings from Kohli and much of it depended on how the wicket played.

“There was a lot of talk that Rohit hasn’t scored big runs for 2-3 years, so congratulations to him. Virat also looked good for his 76. However, he will be disappointed to not have got the hundred and his fans too were eagerly waiting for him to get to that landmark,” Harbhajan added.

The former Indian spinner concluded saying that India will win the Test series 2-0. India defeated West Indies by an innings and 141 runs to win the first Test.

“The result of this series is a foregone conclusion as I feel it will be 2-0. Indian players have another opportunity to score runs and pick wickets and maintain their good form. This form will help them in their upcoming games” Harbhajan concluded saying.
