IPL 2021 Auction: Kedar Jadhav Sold To SunRisers Hyderabad For INR 2.00 Crores

Veteran and out-of-favour Indian batsman Kedar Jadhav has also thrown his hat in the IPL 2021 auction, locking his base price at INR 2 crores. Kedar Jadhav endured a forgettable IPL 2020 season. He managed only 62 runs in eight matches at 20.67, including an out of character innings against Kolkata Knight Riders that invited plenty of criticism.

As a result, Chennai Super Kings decided to let go of him. Jadhav, who played for Maharashtra in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021, managed 193 runs in five matches at 48.25 with two fifties. Thus, the 35-year old, who has played for Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Kochi Tuskers Kerala, could most likely win a bid.

Kedar Jadhav’s chances of attracting a bid in IPL 2021 auction:

Kedar Jadhav might not don the national colours again, considering his form and age and would merely be remembered for playing a handful of knocks when at his absolute best. The 35-year old last played for India back in February 2020 and a struggling knock led to his removal from the subsequent limited-overs games of the national side.

While the chances of attracting bids look bleak as of now, Jadhav could attract bids but might not get enough opportunities if picked up again by the Super Kings at a lower price. With Suresh Raina set to return and youngsters like Ruturaj Gaikwad and Narayanan Jagadeesan impressing, the veteran would miss out on most games.
