IPL Points Table 2026: Updated Standings, Orange Cap, Purple Cap After SRH vs CSK Match 27

The TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 have entered match week 6, as on Saturday, it was a double header, and in the evening match, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) hosted the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad. The two teams came into this match after winning their respective last games. SRH beat CSK by 10 runs.
Ruturaj Gaikwad won the toss and elected to field first. The team made two changes, with Mathew Short coming in place of Akeal Hosein, and Khaleel Ahmed was forced out due to an injury, with Mukesh Choudhary replacing him in the playing XI. For the Orange Army, it was Dilshan Madhushanka who replaced David Payne came in for Harsh Dubey.
IPL 2026: SRH vs CSK Match Result:
After being put into bat, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma were off to an exceptional start, with the latter taking the CSK bowlers, smacking them all around the park. He brought up his fifty in just 14 deliveries. Head was the first to be dismissed on the score of 23, and Ishan Kishan failed to fire and was back without scoring.
Abhishek was all guns blazing and played a fiery knock of 59 off 22, with Jamie Overton picking the big wicket. Then the wickets kept on falling as from 74/0, SRH were down to 112/4. Then Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Reddy tried stitching a partnership, but Reddy was dismissed for the score of 12 runs by Overton.
Klaasen scored a fifty of 32 balls in the match. It was his third fifty of the season, and once again, he took charge in the middle overs, as the wickets kept on tumbling. He stayed strong at one end, and Salil Arora also played his part as the former played a knock of 59 off 39 balls.
Arora was also dismissed on the score of 13 runs with that wicket; they could only get to the score of 194/9 in their 20 overs and felt they were 20-30 runs short with the kind of start they got.
Coming out, chase CSK opener Sanju Samson was dismissed early, but Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ayush Mhatre were smacking the SRH bowlers all over the park as the latter was the aggressor. They brought up fifty in just 3.1 overs; however, Mhatre pulled his hamstring, and in the very next ball, he was dismissed on the score of 30 runs, and in the next over, captain Ruturaj followed.
Sarfaraz Khan and Mathew Short then stitched a partnership of 46 runs as the former was dismissed after playing a knock of 25 off 19 balls. CSK was reduced to 112/4, but Short and Shivam Dube, with Short being dismissed on the score of 34 runs, followed Dube. CSK could only get to the score of 184/8.
