India's bowling spearhead Jasprit Bumrah is a fast bowler of a different class. Bumrah is just not limited to one format but is equally effective in every format of the game. Whether it's Tests, ODIs, or T20Is, he is a real asset for India.

Looking at his performances, legendary Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh claimed that Bumrah could be the highest-paid player in the history of the Indian Premier League if he agreed to do one thing.

Harbhajan Singh makes a bold claim about Jasprit Bumrah

Harbhajan Singh took to social media and claimed that Jasprit Bumrah could be the highest-paid player in the history of IPL if he puts himself in the auction. Although this is unlikely to happen, Bumrah surely has the credentials to become the highest-paid player in IPL.

"If @Jaspritbumrah93 put himself in the Auction . we will be the highest paid IPL player in the history of IPL ! Agree people ?" Harbhajan posted on X (formerly Twitter).

While Harbhajan Singh put out his own thoughts, he asked the social media users about his opinion. Most of the users agreed with him as well.

Jasprit Bumrah in IPL 2024

Jasprit Bumrah plays for Mumbai Indians in the IPL. He has been associated with the franchise since his IPL debut. From a rookie fast bowler who was known for his T20 skills, Bumrah has established himself as the best in all the formats.

Mumbai Indians had a season to forget in the IPL 2024 season where they finished last under the leadership of Hardik Pandya. Bumrah was the team's lone shining light in the season as he picked up 20 wickets in 13 matches at an average of 16.80 and finished third in the list of highest wicket-takers.

The right-arm fast bowler was also exceptional in the T20 World Cup 2024 where he picked up 15 wickets in 8 matches at an average of 8.60.

Jasprit Bumrah's numbers for Mumbai Indians

The 30-year-old has played a key role in Mumbai Indians' five title victories ever since his IPL debut. He is the spearhead of the Mumbai Indians' bowling attack. He has picked up 165 wickets in 133 matches of the IPL at an average of 22.51.

In the upcoming mega auction, he is expected to be the first retention pick for Mumbai Indians due to his stature and performance. Bumrah possesses the ability to pick up wickets with the new ball and in the middle overs as well. He is also a specialist death bowler due to his skills to bowl lethal yorkers and well-disguised slower balls.

Looking at his current form, he can be the most expensive player but MI is unlikely to release him. Jasprit Bumrah is a once-in-a-generation bowler and has still a lot to achieve in his remaining years of professional cricket.
