IPL Auction 2025: Full list of Overseas Players with INR 2 Crores base price

Italian cricketer Thomas Draca has entered the IPL auction 2025 pool, becoming the first player from Italy to register for the IPL auction. The IPL 2025 mega auction, scheduled for November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, will feature a staggering 1,574 players across the world.
For the upcoming mega auction, a total of 1,165 players from India and 409 from overseas have registered. Among the 409 cricketers, the highest players—91 are from South Africa, followed by Australia (76), England (52), New Zealand (39), the West Indies (33), Sri Lanka (29) and Afghanistan (29).
IPL Auction 2025 to witness record 1,574 players in Jeddah
13 players from Bangladesh, 12 from the Netherlands, and 10 from the USA will go under the hammer in Jeddah. Apart from them, cricketers from Ireland (9), Zimbabwe (8), Canada (4), Scotland (2), Italy (1), and the UAE (1) will also be up for grabs at the much-awaited mega auction later this month.
Among these are marquee players with a top base price of INR 2 crore, including global stars like Mitchell Starc, Steve Smith, Jonny Bairstow, Jos Buttler, Kagiso Rabada, Jofra Archer, and Glenn Maxwell. In a surprise omission, Ben Stokes has not registered for the mega auction, marking the second consecutive season he has opted to skip the tournament.
He might have taken the call to manage his fitness and workload after an injury-plagued year. Ben Stokes was out of action for two months after injuring during The Hundred 2024 and only returned during the recent Test series in Pakistan.
James Anderson eyes Indian Premier League debut after international retirement
Surprisingly, former England pacer James Anderson, who hasn't played a T20 match since 2014 and has never appeared in the tournament, has entered the mega auction with a base price set at INR 1.25 crore.
Meanwhile, Thomas Draca, who grabbed the attention while playing in the Global T20 Canada and more recently signed with MI Emirates for the UAE’s ILT20, has now set his sights on getting the experience. His registration highlights the expanding global reach of the IPL, as talent from newer cricketing nations even eyes the spotlight of the biggest T20 league.
Among Indian players, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, and Shreyas Iyer, who were recently released by their franchises Delhi Capitals (DC), Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), respectively, registered for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the maximum base price of INR 2 crore.

Also at INR 2 crore are prominent Indian bowlers like Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, and Arshdeep Singh, while Prithvi Shaw and Sarfaraz Khan are listed at INR 75 lakh after going unsold in last year’s auction. With franchises set to finalize their squads of up to 25 players, 204 slots are up for grabs in the largest-ever auction pool.
Punjab Kings (PBKS) lead the pack with an INR 110.5 crore purse for the IPL 2025 Mega Auction
On the other hand, each team enters the 2025 mega auction with a purse of INR 120 crore for squad building, but following player retentions, spending power varies widely across franchises. Punjab Kings (PBKS) is now entering the auction with the largest purse remaining at INR 110.5 crore.
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has the second-highest budget with INR 83 crore, followed by Delhi Capitals (DC) at INR 73 crore. Other teams also retain healthy budgets, with Gujarat Titans (GT) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) both having INR 69 crore, while Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has INR 55 crore. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) follow with INR 51 crore.
Both Mumbai Indians (MI) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have INR 45 crore left in their purse, and Rajasthan Royals (RR) rounds out the list with remaining funds of INR 41 crore.
