“Today we played as planned. Openers gave good partnership and we put a good total. Early wickets is more important to win the games. Put opposition teams under pressure. Much better we performed as a team today. We’ll try our best on Monday” said Nabi after the third T20I win.

Ireland meanwhile were dominated by Afghanist after winning two games on the bounce, They were never in the chase as they lost their top-order and were reduced to 36/4 inside the powerplay. It was a tall ask ever since and they fell well sort in the end.

“To see the fight at the back end. When you lose 3-4 early wickets, you’re up against it. With one short enough side we thought we could chase that. Needed a better start than we did. He seems to make things happen whether in the field, or with bat or ball (Fionn Hand). Has been knocking on the door a long time. He’s in fantastic form (Dockrell). Has become an important batter for us in international cricket” said Andrew Balbirnie praising the effort of his players.
