On Monday, by pinning Dan Lawrence plumb for an lbw dismissal, Ishant Sharma picked his 300th Test wicket. The pacer made his debut for India in Tests in 2007 against Bangladesh in Dhaka.

Ishant Sharma is the senior-most member of the Indian side currently, and have been part of some of the historic victories such as the one in Lord’s 2014 and India’s maiden Test series win in Australia in 2018-19.

Ishant, with a long mane, burst onto the scene with a hostile spell to Ricky Ponting at Perth in 2008; that spell is still fresh in the minds of the fans after all not many bowlers could make the former Australia skipper hoop around the crease.
