Veteran England pacers James Anderson and Stuart Broad recently shared their thoughts on how to dismiss the best batters in the world. James Anderson and Stuart Broad also shared tips on dismissing legendary batter Sachin Tendulkar and modern-day stars Virat Kohli and Babar Azam.

James Anderson and Stuart Broad form one of the most lethal bowling duos in red-ball cricket for England. They have played together in 138 matches in the longer format of the game. The duo shared 537 Test wickets between them, which includes 46 five-wicket hauls and six 10-wicket hauls.

In a video uploaded by the official YouTube channel of Sky Sports Cricket, Stuart Broad and James Anderson offer a rapid guide on how to dismiss some of the world’s top batsmen. Broad started with his approach while bowling against veteran Australian opener David Warner.

Nipping Back, LBW – James Anderson On Sachin Tendulkar’s Weakness

When Sachin Tendulkar’s name came up, James Anderson, drawing from his wealth of experience, offered his insight into getting the Indian cricket legend out. He revealed his strategy against Sachin Tendulkar, saying that he would aim “Nipping back, lbw” to secure the wicket.

In discussing how to dismiss Virat Kohli, Anderson and Broad said that a similar technique was required when dismissing former Australia skipper Ricky Ponting. The duo emphasised the importance of bowling slightly wider of the off stump deliveries to get Kohli caught behind.

“Try and nick him off. A little wider,” the duo said.

Top Or Off-Stump – James Anderson On Babar Azam’s Weakness

When discussing how to dismiss Babar Azam, Anderson initially appeared uncertain but then suggested targeting the top or off-stump. Broad mentioned that the Pakistan all-format skipper has been bowled a few times in Pakistan, possibly through the gate with some reverse swing.

“Top or off-stump,” James Anderson said. Stuart Broad added, “He got bowled a bit in Pakistan, didn’t he? Through the gate, a bit of reverse”.

During the same discussion, there was a lighthearted moment when Anderson mentioned that short balls were Babar Azam’s weakness. Broad playfully interrupted, suggesting that Anderson shouldn’t reveal all his secrets since he still had plenty of cricket left in him.
