India Women’s Team star batter, Jemimah Rodrigues spoke on one of her favorite knocks and said that she is fond of her match-winning half-century against the arch-rivals Pakistan in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 which was held in South Africa.

While speaking on a YouTube cooking show ‘Chef It Up’, Jemimah described her 53-run knock as the most special innings herself as she was totally determined to lead her side to clinch a victory.

The 22-year-old star player did not forget to praise her teammates’ contribution and said that everyone played a big role to win the match.

“That was one of the most special innings for me. I was so focused on what I can do to help the team win. Richa and I had a brilliant partnership, everyone contributed and it was a special knock; I scored a 53,” Jemimah Rodrigues said.

Jemimah also described the moment as more special since her both parents were present in the stadium to watch her life and said that being awarded the Player of the Match was the best feeling.

“My mom and dad were there to see me play. It was the first time they came for a live match in a stadium so it was even more special for me. Hitting the winning run and getting player of the match was the best thing,” Jemimah Rodrigues added.

In the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, Harmanpreet Kaur-led India lost the semi-final match against Australia by five runs in playoffs which forced them out of the tournament. When the cooking show host asked the 22-year-old “What do you manifest?”, Jemimah replied, “Winning the World Cup.”
