Jofra Archer Set To Miss Entire England's Summer Test Matches, Could Play All Of The Hundred – Reports

Star England National Cricket Team pacer Jofra Archer is set to miss all of the team’s summer Test matches and he could play the entire The Hundred competition after recovering from an elbow injury.
Jofra Archer underwent a second surgery on his right elbow just before Christmas and his injury has forced him to stay out of action for a very long time. He has not played international cricket since the T20I series against India, which was played in March 2021.

According to a report in telegraph.co.uk Jofra Archer will make his return through the shorter format of the game as England want to make sure that the pacer doesn’t suffer the injury again, which will result in him missing the entire Test summer.
The speedster was training with the England squad during the West Indies tour last month and he is most likely to make an international comeback during the T20I match against India in Southampton on July 7.
Jofra Archer To Play The Hundred Competition
Jofra Archer after his return from an injury will most likely be available for the selection in the Hundred competition. Archer, who represents Southern Brave, had missed the last edition of the tournament.
Meanwhile, the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 is set to be played later this year in Australia and Jofra Archer’s return will provide a major boost to the England National Cricket Team.
Also, Archer’s former coach had recently said that the pacer was overworked by the England team and several cricket experts have criticised England for Archer’s treatment.
“When Jofra got into the England set-up, I think he was probably overworked, Dexter Toppin, Archer’s former coach in Barbados, recently told Telegraph Sport.
“He’s not a big guy, not a muscular guy-he’s got a small frame. That’s one of the reasons why he broke down so easily in terms of his weight, his size and things like that. That’s something that whoever’s captaining him, whoever’s guiding him, has got to play a lot of focus too.”
Meanwhile, Jofra Archer had set INR 2 crore as his base price for the Indian Premier League 2022 mega auction and 5-time champions Mumbai Indians bought him for INR 8 crore, despite his unavailability for the IPL 2022.
