The 6th Season of the Abu Dhabi T10 league is set to commence on 23rd November (Wednesday). The T10 format is considered to be the fastest format and is quite popular as the viewers experience jam-packed action.
A total of 33 matches are going to be played in the tournament as the tournament’s final is scheduled for 04th December. This competition has no margin for error as most of the time the bowlers are taken to the cleaners. This League was started way back in 2017 and now has become one of the fierce leagues in Franchise Cricket.
Big Names in Abu Dhabi T10 League
Former West Indies skipper Kieron Pollard has been named the skipper of the new team New York Strikers. The Strikers have named the World Cup Winner Yuvraj Singh as the mentor. His team is all set to clash against Bangla Tigers captained by Shakib al Hasan. Moeen Ali will lead the Morrisville franchisee who will return after the conclusion of the Australia vs England ODI Series.
There are a lot of star cricketers present in the form of Eoin Morgan, Andre Russell, David Miller, and Adil Rashid. Indian Cricketers have also signed up for the league: Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh & Sreesanth. It would have been more interesting if Indian players were allowed to participate by BCCI as playing in leagues is invaluable.
Enthralling Contest on Cards
This time more than 140 renowned cricketers have signed up for the league. Abu Dhabi T10 league was the first league that introduced this format to the World Cricket. It is also said that the ICC should introduce this format to the Olympics as it doesn’t take significant time.
With 8 teams fighting for the elusive trophy, the World Cricket can witness fascinating action. On most of the days, there would be 3 matches and on some days there would be 2 matches. It would be interesting to see how the players perform in the heat of Abu Dhabi as it won’t be easy by any means, especially for the pacers.
