Netherlands all-rounder Logan van Beek expressed confidence in his team’s ability to challenge England in their upcoming match. Logan van Beek emphasized that a victory against the defending champions would not be a mere fluke but a testament to their skills.

The Dutch team earned their place in the World Cup 2023 with impressive performances in the Qualifiers. They continued their good form by defeating South Africa by 38 runs in a group-stage match. They also secured a victory against the full-member nation, Bangladesh.

We Are Actually A Pretty Good Team – Logan van Beek

Speaking to The Daily Mail, Logan van Beek emphasized that their two wins already proved their value in the tournament. He expressed the team’s determination to utilize their unique tactics against the strong English side.

“One win would have proven we have every right to be here, but two wins confirm we are actually a pretty good team. Three wins will solidify that we deserve to be here just as much as any other team. A win against England won’t be that flash in the pan, it won’t be a fluke. Those guys have been put through the wringer the last six weeks,” Logan van Beek said.

“I feel for them, because they get as much scrutiny as any other team in the world. When it’s going well, it’s Bazball and happy days and lollipops and everyone loves to be an England supporter, and then suddenly they’re not performing as well as they can. They’re still good cricketers, and there’s no reason they can’t pull out their best stuff against us. But we’re going to do our best, do our Netherlands thing to stop their tracks,” he added.

Holland will face the Jos Buttler-led side in their next match in Pune on November 8. England is currently at the bottom of the table, having lost six out of seven matches. England needs to win their remaining games to qualify for the Champions Trophy 2025.

Probably The Best Death Over I Ever Bowled – Logan van Beek

Logan van Beek reflected on his challenging bowling performance when England scored 498. The right-arm pacer described it as a tough day but also took pride in his performance, considering it one of the best death overs he had ever bowled.

“It was a tough day – as brutal as it gets. But that was probably the best death over I ever bowled: I had a wide hole, a straight hole, I bowled a bouncer. I was bowling to Jos, who was on 150, and Liam Livingstone, who was on 50-odd off 15 balls. That gave me a lot of faith in any situation.”
