Michael Slater collapses during court trial after Court denies bail to him

Former Australia cricketer turned commentator and media personality Michael Slater, reportedly got unconscious during a hearing at Queensland court after the magistrate denied him bail.

Slater is facing more than a dozen charges against him, related to stalking, sending unnecessary text messages to his ex-wife, and also threatening her life. The Australian has a long history of court cases and this is not the first time he has been convicted by the court. 

But the latest incident of his appearance in an Australian court came a couple of days ago. Michael Slater has a lot of charges against him from domestic violence to common assault among others.

He was there in the court for a plea to make sure gets out of Jail on bail, however, a Queensland magistrate denied his appeal and as a result of major shock, Slater fell on the floor and had to be picked up by the court officials. This report has been confirmed by the local outlets there at the Land Down Under.

With his bail denied by the Queensland court, Michael Slater will now appear in front of the court in May for the next set of hearings. It is going to be a difficult round, given the fact that all the evidence against him that the investigators collected against him, will be put in front of the court.

While that has a bit of a time to it, the news related to his collapse in the court comes as a major shock within the Australian cricketing fraternity, which is not known for such things. 

These complaints against Slater tarnish the image of Australian cricket but most importantly, the cricketer himself is battling through such a period after being one of the most important cricketing personalities of the world. 

Michael Slater's Brief History of Court Cases

Ever since hanging his boot and also closing the curtain on his media career, Michael Slater had been scrutinized by a rally of court cases. It all started on October 20, 2021, when Slater was arrested by the Police for the charges of domestic violence, stalking, and using carrier services to harass his ex-wife.

Then 2 months later on December 15, Slater was arrested by the New South Wales Police for the breach of an apprehended violence order but was later released on bail.

4 months later on April 27th, Michael Slater once again was once again investigated by the Police for domestic violence before the charges against him were dropped due to his mental health issues.

Exactly a month later, he was arrested yet again for the charges of assault, stalking, and intimidation in July 2022, he was taken to a local Police station for the charges of breaking bail rules. But he was given bail by the magistrate and was asked to take control of his actions. 

On 31 August, two fresh charges of common assault were registered against him along with a charge of intending to harm someone through vicious stalking and intimidation.

In September he was arrested for beaching bail and then in November, March 2023, and November 2023, Slater was charged with the same things again. 

And 2 days ago, Michael Slater was booked again and was charged 19 times with domestic violence, illegal stalking-intimidation, breaking into someone's house at night with an intent to hurt, causing bodily harm like choking and causing suffocation.

It has been revealed that Michael Slater has been going through manic depression which has been in effect since the passing of his Mother when he was just 12 years of age.
