'Very Good Decision'- Michael Vaughan Happy With Rohit Sharma's Appointment As ODI Captain

Former England captain Michael Vaughan expressed that the right decision was made with regards to Rohit Sharma’s appointment as the ODI captain of Team India.
Virat Kohli had earlier given up his T20I captaincy and showed his desire to continue captaining in ODI and Tests. However, the BCCI opted against split-captaincy in the white-ball formats. On Wednesday, the selection panel made it clear that Rohit will be the leader in ODIs as well.

This decision was well-received among the Indian fans and Vaughan, who took to Twitter to praise the call.

Rohit Sharma also made the vice-captain of the Test side
Rohit Sharma’s excellent form in the longest format has given him the vice-captaincy. He will be taking over from Ajinkya Rahane, whose poor form has seen him get demoted. There is also a chance that Rahane may not get a chance in the upcoming tour of South Africa.

If he does, a failure might well mean curtains for the 33-year-old’s Test career. The BCCI confirmed the Test squad for the South Africa tour. Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, and Shubman Gill were all ruled out courtesy of injuries they sustained in the recently concluded 2-match Test series.
Kohli will continue to lead the side in Tests, which happens to be his best format. Rested players Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul, Mohammad Shami, and Shardul Thakur have made a return to the side.
India’s Test squad:
Virat Kohli (Captain), Rohit Sharma (vice-captain), KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Shreyas Iyer, Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant (wk), Wriddhiman Saha (wk), R Ashwin, Jayant Yadav, Ishant Sharma, Mohd. Shami, Umesh Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Shardul Thakur, Md. Siraj.
Standby Players: Navdeep Saini, Saurabh Kumar, Deepak Chahar, Arzan Nagwaswalla.
