Legendary cricketer MS Dhoni lost his temper after Chennai Super Kings' bitter defeat to Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL 2024 group stage match at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. It was a do-or-die match for both the teams and RCB came out on top in the end.
The journalist claimed that it was former India offspinner Harbhajan Singh who informed him that Dhoni broke the TV on his way back to the dressing room after getting dismissed. MS Dhoni was dismissed for 25 off 13 balls in the final over and his wicket turned the momentum in favor of RCB.

An Indian journalist named Sushant Mehta claimed that MS Dhoni broke the TV after CSK's loss to RCB in the 68th match of IPL 2024. He mentioned that Dhoni pushed something hard on him The information about Dhoni breaking the TV was provided to him by Harbhajan Singh.
"I have come to know about an exclusive scoop. I asked Bhajji (Harbhajan Singh) paaji why (MS) Dhoni did not shake hands (with RCB players). He said that not only did he not shake hands, he also broke a TV. He also punched something on the way back. He was very angry about missing (his shot)," the journalist said.

MS Dhoni was in the bad reasons in this game for not shaking hands with the opposition team after the match. However, he was later seen shaking hands with the RCB players outside the dressing room.
MS Dhoni's dismissal turned the game in RCB's favor
With 17 needed off the last over, MS Dhoni was on strike against Yash Dayal. Dhoni was expected to finish off the game given his recent hitting form and the batting-friendly conditions at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
He even smashed a six off the first ball of the last over to change the equation to 11 needed off 5 balls. At this point, Dhoni was the favorite to win the match for CSK as he has finished so many close games in the past as well.
But the bowler Yash Dayal kept his composure and bowled a slower back of a hand delivery which was going towards off. Dhoni looked to go for another big shot but could only hit the ball to the deep backward square leg where Swapnil Singh completed a good catch under pressure.
RCB qualify for playoffs; CSK out of the tournament
The Chinnaswamy found their voices again as they kept cheering for their home team. Meanwhile, CSK fans were disappointed as MS Dhoni walked his way back to the pavilion. It was the last time that the fans could witness Dhoni in IPL 2024 as CSK could not qualify for the playoffs.
CSK lost the match by 27 runs in the end while RCB made it to the playoffs on the back of a comeback for the ages. They won seven matches on the trot to qualify for the next stage but lost to Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator.
