MS Dhoni Confirms He Will Play For Chennai Super Kings In IPL 2022

Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni has confirmed that he will play in the IPL 2022. He announced this on Saturday during the celebration of CSK’s IPL 2021 victory, in an event organized in Chennai.
MS Dhoni marched CSK to their fourth title last month when the side defeated KKR in the final in Dubai.
The 40-year-old stated that he has no plans of retirement until he plays his last T20 game in front of his home crowd in Chennai. With the IPL 2022 set to return to India, he is looking forward to don the yellow jersey again ahead of a jam-packed Chennai crowd.

MS Dhoni pointed out that he had planned ahead of his last ODI game in India, which was in his hometown, Ranchi. He further asserted that whether it be next year, or five years later, but he won’t walk away without playing another game in Chennai.
“I always plan my Cricket, I played my last ODI at my home city, Ranchi, and i will play my last T20 game will be hopefully in Chennai. It might come next year or five years from now,” MS Dhoni said on Saturday.

The CSK skipper also thanked the fans for their support, especially after their disappointing performance in IPL 2020, when CSK failed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time.
“When we are not doing well, fans backed us! Chennai taught me a lot! Fans supported good Cricket!” MS Dhoni added.
