Mumbai Indians (MI) will be desperate to return to winning ways when they face Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 29th match of IPL 2025. The game is scheduled to take place on Sunday (April 13) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

With just 1 win from 5 games, the five-time champions are currently at the eighth spot in the points table. They started their season with two defeats before beating defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders.

However, MI could not capitalise on the momentum and lost their following two games. In their last game, they suffered a 12-run defeat at the hands of Royal Challengers Bengaluru at home. Chasing 222 runs, MI finished their innings on 209/9.

As MI look to get back to winning ways, we are taking a look at the MI Playing 11 for the upcoming game against DC.

Mumbai Indians Playing 11 vs Delhi Capitals - IPL 2025, Match 29:

Openers: Rohit Sharma, Ryan Rickelton (wk)

Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton are set to be the openers in the MI Playing 11 once again. Even though neither of them have managed to impress with the bat so far, they are expected to retain their spots in the Mumbai Indians Playing 11.

With MI in desperate need of a win, the onus will be on the openers especially Rohit to give the team a good start with the bat. In the last game, both the openers were out after scoring 17 runs each. They will be keen to score big against DC.

Middle-order: Will Jacks, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya (c), Naman Dhir, Mitchell Santner

Will Jacks has not been able to deliver with the bat either. However, Mumbai Indians do not have too many options and the England batsman is likely to retain his spot in the MI Playing 11 for the time being. In the previous game against RCB, he got the start but could not convert it into a big score and was out for 22 runs.

Suryakumar Yadav got the start as well in the last game but got out at a crucial time. The India T20I captain scored 28 runs in the previous outing and will be eyeing a better display in the upcoming game.

Tilak Varma and captain Hardik Pandya nearly powered Mumbai Indians to a win with their brilliant batting but they could not finish the job either. Varma, who was retired out against Lucknow Super Giants, responded in style by smashing 56 runs off just 29 balls. He will be looking to extend his form.

Pandya, on the other hand, smashed 42 runs from just 15 balls and will be looking to lead his team from the front once again. Pandya impressed with the ball as well, taking 2 wickets. Naman Dhir had the chance to become a hero but he could not do it and scored 11 runs.

Apart from Pandya, Mitchell Santner is set to be the other allrounder in the Mumbai Indians Playing 11. Santner scored 8 runs and could not take any wicket. With Santner not making a big impact, it would not be surprising if MI hand debut to Corbin Bosch.

Bowlers: Deepak Chahar, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah, Vignesh Puthur

The Mumbai Indians Playing 11 is likely to have three frontline pacers and one spinner. Deepak Chahar, Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah are set to be the three pacers. With Bumrah back, MI will be hoping to put up a better show with the ball.

Puthur bowled just one over in the last game and managed to pick up a wicket. The youngster will look to impress once again. He made way for Rohit Sharma in the playing eleven when MI were chasing.
