Netherlands lost a few wickets cheaply in the middle in the form of Musa Ahmed (13), Bas de Leede (17), and Scott Edwards (13). Later, lower-order batter Teja Nidamanuru smacked a marvellous unbeaten knock of 58 runs to take the team’s total to 247-7 in the end.
For West Indies, Kyle Mayers and Akeal Hosein picked 2 wickets each. West Indies got a revised target of 247 runs with the DLS method. During the chase, West Indies openers Shai Hope and Shamarh Brooks stormed blistering knocks at the start. Shai Hope hit unbeaten 119 runs while Shamarh Brooks hit 60.
After Nkrumah Bonner and skipper Nicholas Pooran got out for 0 and 7 in the middle respectively, Brandon King later scored an unbeaten 58 off 51 balls. In the end, West Indies managed to chase down the target in the 44th over by 7 wickets. For Netherlands, Logan van Beek picked 2 wickets while Aryan Dutt picked 1 wicket.
