The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has rejected No Objection Certificates (NOCs) requests from national cricketers for the upcoming Zim Afro T10 League 2024.

The PCB made this decision because the tournament does not have approval from the International Cricket Council (ICC).

The Shan Masood-led team recently suffered a humiliating 0-2 loss against Bangladesh in the home Test series.

Pakistan's next assignment is a three-match Test series against Bangladesh at home, starting on October 7. The Men in Green will then travel to Australia for a white-ball series in November.

Pakistan Cricket Board Denies NOC To Pakistan Cricketers - Report

According to the latest media reports, the PCB has stated that no Pakistani cricketers will be granted No Objection Certificates to participate in the Zim Afro T10 League 2024 until the tournament receives official approval from the International Cricket Council.

Several Pakistan-based players like Shahnawaz Dahani, Asif Ali, Haider Ali, Yasir Shah, Mohammad Irfan, Sharjeel Khan, and Salman Arshad are set to play in the Zim Afro T10 League 2024. However, the PCB’s decision has affected these players’ participation in the franchise league.

Shahnawaz Dahani, Asif Ali, and Haider Ali are also committed to playing in the Champions One-Day Cup for the 2024 season, which is set to be played from September 12 to 29. Following the 50-over tournament, the Pakistan National Cricket Team will take on England in the home Test series.

League's Licence Has Been Granted By The Zimbabwe Cricket Board

A spokesperson for the Zim Afro T10 League said that ICC approval isn't required because the league is sanctioned by the Zimbabwe Cricket Board, which is a full ICC member.

"The Zimbabwe Cricket Board is a full member of the ICC, and the league's license has been granted by the Zimbabwe Cricket Board," the spokesperson said.

The Zim Afro T10 League is gearing up for its second edition. Teams will have 15 members with the addition of a 16th global icon player.

The tournament will be played from September 21 to 29 at the Harare Sports Club in Harare. The league's fast-paced 10-over format has drawn interest.

Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Rizwan Denied NOCs By PCB

Earlier this year, the PCB refused to issue No Objection Certificates to several players for participating in the Global T20 Canada and The Hundred.

Senior players like Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Mohammad Rizwan were denied NOCs for the Global T20 Canada 2024 season.

Naseem Shah was also denied a NOC for the Men’s The Hundred 2024 season. Pakistani cricketers are participating in various global T10/T20 leagues, including The Hundred, Big Bash League, Lanka Premier League, CPL, Global T20 Canada, and BPL, despite not being featured in the IPL.
