Under-fire Haris Rauf endured another poor outing as he was taken to the cleaners by Finn Allen during the recently concluded third T20I between New Zealand and Pakistan in Dunedin.

The right-arm pacer has faced severe criticism in recent times for his refusal to play in the three-Test series against Australia to play in the Big Bash League. He made his much-awaited return to international cricket in the ongoing five-match T20I series against New Zealand. And while expectations were high for him, he has failed to live up to the expectations so far.

In the first two games, he managed to pick up 5 wickets but ended up conceding more than 30 runs in both games. Things went from bad to worse for Haris Rauf in the third T20I as he conceded 60 runs in his 4 overs. It is now the fourth most expensive spell bowled by a Pakistan bowler in the shortest format of the game.

Haris Rauf concedes 28 runs in an over:

Haris Rauf started the game on a good note. He conceded just 2 runs in his first over and gave his team the first breakthrough by dismissing Devon Conway for 7. However, he failed to replicate the performance when he came to bowl his second over which was also the final over of the powerplay.

He was up against the dangerous Finn Allen and ended up conceding 28 runs. Allen hit boundaries on the first five deliveries of the over before taking a single on the last ball. The first ball went for a six before the New Zealand opener hit two fours in a row. Haris Rauf then bowled a wide before being hit for two more sixes.

Watch:

There was no respite for Haris Rauf when he was reintroduced into the attack to bowl the 12th over. He was once again up against Allen and the New Zealand star came out on top once again. The Pakistan pacer ended the over by conceding 23 runs as Allen hit him for three sixes in the over.

Talking about the game, New Zealand beat Pakistan by 45 runs in the third T20I to clinch the five-match series with two games to go. Asked to bat first, the hosts piled up 224/7 with Allen scoring 137 runs. In reply, Pakistan finished their innings on 179/7.
