"Pakistan didn't deserve to qualify"- Ahmed Shehzad ridicules Babar Azam and his team

Former Pakistan opener Ahmed Shehzad took a brutal dig at Babar Azam, the Pakistan team, and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) after Pakistan failed to qualify for the Super 8 round of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Ahmed Shehzad posted a tweet on X where he reckoned that the Pakistan team did not deserve to qualify. 

Pakistan has been eliminated from the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 after the USA vs Ireland match was washed out due to rain. The Babar Azam-led side is part of Group A in the tournament with India, USA, Ireland, and Canada in their pool. 

The Men-in-Green faced a shocking defeat against amateur USA in their opening match. Later, they also lost their next encounter against India by 6 runs. The USA won their first two games in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 against Canada and Pakistan and needed one more victory to reach the Super 8 round.

IRE vs USA was washed out due to rain 

Although the co-hosts lost to India in their third game, they had one more clash against Ireland. The USA vs Ireland clash was washed out due to rain and it cleared the way for USA's entry into the next round. After four matches, the USA has gained 5 points while Pakistan still has 2 points with a lone victory against Canada. 

India has also confirmed their top spot in Group A with a total of 6 points with three wins. India is set to play one more game against Canada. However, regardless of the result, India and USA will be the two teams from Group A who will play in the Super 8 round. 

Ahmed Shehzad attacks Babar Azam-led Pakistan team on X after TC WC exit 

Former Pakistan star batter Ahmed Shehzad Shahzad has attacked the Pakistan team with a brutal tweet after their elimination in the T20 World Cup 2024. Shahzad said the deserving team has reached the Super 8 round from Group A and Pakistan did not deserve to qualify.

He also made fun of the fact that Pakistan depended on Ireland to get a spot in the next round. Have a look at his tweet below.

"The deserving team is through to the Super 8 round. If you're depending on Ireland to defeat someone, you seriously don't deserve to qualify, he posted on X.

Ahmed Shehzad criticized Pakistan players for fooling fans 

Ahmed Shehzad has been very vocal about Babar Azam’s poor captaincy and the Pakistan team’s poor show in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Recently during a news show, he criticized the Pakistan team and players for fooling Pakistan cricket fans. 

He revealed that the board has hired agencies to create fake stories about players to gain the sympathy of fans. He gave examples of recent stories where some Pakistan players could not sleep or could not eat after their defeat against the USA and India. The video also went viral on social media. 

Meanwhile, Pakistan will now clash with Ireland in their last match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. The Pakistan vs Ireland game takes place at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida on Sunday, June 16.
