Pakistan Pacer Mohammad Hasnain's Modification Of Bowling Action Gets Completed, PCB To Contact ICC For Reassessment – Reports

The modification of 22-year-old Pakistan speedster Mohammad Hasnain’s bowling action has been completed and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is all set to contact the International Cricket Council (ICC) for reassessment.

The young right-arm fast bowler has played 8 One Day International games and 18 T20 International games for Pakistan National Cricket Team and has bagged 12 and 17 wickets respectively. The 22-year-old’s best bowling figure in One Day International is 5/26 and his best bowling figure in T20 International is 3/37.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan quick while playing in the Big Bash League (BBL) 2022 was accused of chucking by Moises Henriques. He had undergone a test at the ICC’s accredited testing centre in Lahore on January 21 after being reported by the Big Bash League (BBL) umpires.

Mohammad Hasnain’s bowling action was declared illegal on February 4 and he was banned from cricket by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It was confirmed that the Pakistan pacer’s action had breached the ICC’s 15-degree limit for elbow extension as his elbow extension for his good length delivery, full-length delivery, slow bouncer and bouncer exceeded the 15-degree limits.

The sources have now confirmed that the right-arm pacer has modified his bowling and the modification of his bowling action has been completed under the supervision of Umar Rasheed at the National High-Performance Center (NHPC), as reported by Cricket Pakistan.

Meanwhile, the tests which had taken place at the laboratory in Pakistan found that he now has a legal bowling action and his elbow extension was within the legal range of 15-degree limits.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is also completely satisfied with the bowling action of Mohammad Hasnain and now they will contact International Cricket Council (ICC) for reassessment.

“Once the pacer clears the test, which will be conducted by the International Cricket Council (ICC), at a recognised laboratory he will be allowed to play international cricket.
