The revised FTP for Pakistan states that over the years 2023–2027, Pakistan will host two tri-series including Australia and England.
According to a Pakistan Cricket Board source, Pakistan has included two home tri-series in the new FTP, which will be finalized at the ICC chief executive meeting next week.

Recently, the Pakistani cricket team made history by chasing 342 and defeating Sri Lanka by four wickets in the first Test match at Galle.
At the Galle International Stadium on Wednesday, the Pakistani Team defeated Sri Lanka by four wickets in the first Test to earn 12 significant ICC World Test Championship points.
Abdullah Shafique, who batted first for the team, scored an unbroken 160 to enable the visitors to chase down a record 342 at the designated location and grab a 1-0 series lead.

“Pakistan has taken the stance that since it will not be playing India in any bilateral series in the new FTP cycle, it wants to host more tri-series events at home to generate revenue,” the source said. He stated that Pakistan would play fewer Tests than other countries under the new FTP.
“Bangladesh and the West Indies have more games because they will perform India several times in the new FTP, whereas Pakistan will not.”
Pakistan will play a total of 133 international games: PCB Sources
As per the source, an additional concern made by PCB is that the top three cricket-playing countries, India, Australia, and England, have all booked five-Test series against one another in the new FTP, while other teams will primarily play two, three, or occasionally four-Test series.
85 percent of the new FTP is complete, and between 2023 and 2027, the Pakistani Team will play 133 international games, featuring 12 home series against Australia, England, and New Zealand.

According to the source, the Pakistani Team will play a least 29 Tests, 49 ODIs, and 55 T20 internationals during the new cycle, though the number of matches could rise once the FTP is finalized.
