Former India National Cricket Team cricketer Dodda Ganesh lashed out at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for preparing a road-like pitch for the ongoing first Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh. The first match of the two-match Test series between the teams is taking place at the Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.
The first Test between the Shan Masood-led side and the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team is heading towards the draw. This comes after both the teams have batted sensationally well in the game, and with just one day more left for the game, the second innings for either of the teams hasn't started.
The pitch at the Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium hasn't been offering anything to the bowlers. Rawalpindi's track seemed to be grassy, and on the opening day, there was a lot of help for fast bowlers as the home team batters struggled to get going against the new ball.
However, after that first session of the play, there wasn't any help for the bowlers as the pitch seemed to be flattened. There isn't any help for the fast bowlers, and since then, batting has been easy as players of both teams have batted well and have amassed huge runs.
For hosts, Saud Shakeel (141) and Mohammad Rizwan (171*) slammed vital centuries to bring them back into the game. The duo added 240 runs together and ensured that the team got crucial runs, having lost three wickets for just 16 runs and then losing Saim Ayub (56) at 114 runs.
Based on the rollicking effort hosts posted a total of 448 runs on the board. Bangladesh National Cricket Team could manage just 6 wickets. Shoriful Islam and Hasan Mahmud picked two wickets each while Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Shakib Al Hasan bagged one wicket each.
Bangladesh also struggled a bit against the new ball and lost a few early wickets. But after that phase, batting got easy as well. Shadman Islam played a vital innings and ended with the innings of 93 runs. After that, Mominul Haque also slammed a half-century as well.
The best performer of the team was Mushfiqur Rahim. Rahim played a magnificent innings of 191 runs and ensured that the Bangladesh National Cricket Team took the first-innings lead. He got support from Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who also slammed half-centuries.
