When the automobile collided with a road divider and caught fire, Pant was the only person inside. The 25-year-old was brought to a nearby hospital while en route to his hometown of Roorkee. He is in stable condition despite having a head, back, and foot injuries.
“After a road accident, the first hour for any victim – the golden period – is very crucial. It becomes necessary for a victim to get proper treatment within that one hour. The Good Samaritan scheme has been rolled out to encourage this social behavior,” said the Uttarakhand DGP.
