Rashid Khan has replaced Mohammad Nabi as Afghanistan’s new T20I skipper. Nabi resigned as the skipper after Afghanistan’s disappointing campaign in the T20 World Cup 2022. Before the T20 World Cup, Nabi also led the side in the Asia Cup where they came up with an impressive performance.
The Afghanistan Cricket Board shared the news on their official Twitter handle. The spin wizard has previously led the side in 2019 but will not take up the role on a full-time basis. Along with Nabi, Rashid has been the torchbearer of Afghanistan cricket since making his debut in 2015.
