Budding prospect Ravi Bishnoi is all set to get his maiden call-up to the national side for the white-ball series against the West Indies. The series comprises three ODIs and three T20Is and will begin on February 6.

According to a report in TOI, Kuldeep Yadav is also likely to make a comeback to the team after having fallen out of favor with the national team selectors. He has also recovered from his injury at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).

Bishnoi has performed excellently for Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the IPL and he was rewarded with an INR 4 cr contract by one of the new franchises in the league, Lucknow Supergiants.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar stays in ODI squad, Virat Kohli to feature in both formats

Notably, pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been retained in the ODI squad while being dropped from the shortest format, according to the report. Talisman batter, Virat Kohli, has been added to both squads irrespective of his slump.

Kuldeep’s return to the squad could also mean the selectors still feel that he has the X-factor that India lacks, especially in the middle overs. They have struggled to take wickets consistently, as was evident in the recent ODI series against South Africa.
