A high-profile encounter will be witnessed in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Sunday, April 6, between the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and the Gujarat Titans (GT).

The Pat Cummins-led Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are locking horns with the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 19th IPL 2025 match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad.

This is the game between the No.3 and No.10 ranked teams, and surprise, surprise - the team at the very bottom of the table is the Sunrisers Hyderabad, as they have registered just one win in four matches.

Heading into the competition, nobody would have expected Sunrisers Hyderabad to struggle, considering the explosive line-up they built. However, things seemed to have fallen apart for them, and the famed opening duo of Travishek - Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma - have failed to fire together.

The performance of SRH has been so poor that they have lost ten wickets in the powerplay in IPL 2025 - the most by a team - and Gujarat Titans (GT) have been more explosive than SRH.

The bowling has also been a concern for the Sunrisers Hyderabad as their death-overs economy rate is 16.89 - which is the worst in the Indian Premier League 2025.

Talking about the Gujarat Titans, they have won two out of the three matches in the ongoing season - that too in a convincing manner. They also have quite a few issues in the team but have managed to cover those in the last couple of matches.

IPL 2025: Gujarat Titans win the toss and opt to field

Speaking after winning the toss and opting to bowl first, Shubman Gill said that the pitch on the offer is of black soil and it will act slow. He also revealed that Washington Sundar will be making his debut for Gujarat Titans, replacing Arshad Khan in playing XI. He said:

"We are going to bowl first. Looks like a slowish wicket, different from the previous two games as it's a black soil surface. Generally it's a good wicket. We have been playing well, need to adapt to the conditions as soon as possible. I think we had good memories in the past, we are continuing to have good fun. Washington comes in for Arshad Khan."

Meanwhile, the SRH skipper Pat Cummins also expressed his desire to bowl first in the match but was at peace with batting first as well. He said:

"We were going to bowl, but more than happy to bat first."
