As SRH return home, they are on the brink of elimination. Despite having retained their experienced core from the immensely successful IPL 2024 season, the Orange Army find themselves reeling at the ninth position with three victories in 10 matches.

Sunrisers Hyderabad are all but out of the playoffs race, but don't have a big 'E' written in front of their name in the points table as they have a complex mathematical chance to finish in the top four.

Firstly, Sunrisers Hyderabad need to win the remainder of their matches by big margins, and then they need several other results to go their way.

Talking about the Delhi Capitals, they find themselves just outside the qualification bracket with six wins in 10 matches and a Net Run Rate of 0.362.

DC's campaign in the Indian Premier League 2025 has gone downhill after their remarkable start to the season, where they registered four consecutive victories.

They have won just one out of their last four matches and need to get their act together to ensure that they don't waste their good IPL 2025 start by failing to qualify for the playoffs.

The batting department's poor returns have emerged as the main concern for the Delhi Capitals as the likes of KL Rahul, Karun Nair, and Faf du Plessis have failed to fire together.

The bowling unit has been doing pretty well for DC, as Mitchell Starc has been breathing fire while Kuldeep Yadav has been handling the spin duties quite well.

To beat the dangerous Sunrisers Hyderabad, they would need the left-arm pacer Mitchell Starc to once again shine. He has picked 10 wickets in 4 matches against SRH in IPL since 2024, and the Orange Army have won only one game out of seven in which Starc has been involved, which came way back in 2014. In the head-to-head record, Sunrisers Hyderabad have a slight 13-12 edge over the Delhi Capitals.

Speaking at the toss, Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper Pat Cummins said that they are yet to play a complete game in IPL 2025. He said:

"We'll bowl. We've talked about a few things, haven't had a complete game yet."

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals skipper Axar Patel said they would have bowled first as well because the pitch won't change much. He said:

"Would've fielded first as well, looks like a good wicket and it shouldn't change much."
