Rohit Sharma Ruled Out Of World Cup 2023; KL Rahul And Jasprit Bumrah Sidelined Too- India Squad for ICC World Cup 2023 Sealed And Signed. There are no doubts that ICC World Cup 2023 will be a grand cricket event that takes place this year. A total of 10 teams will arrive on the battleground for ICC World Cup 2023. They are India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Australia, New Zealand, England, Netherlands, and South Africa.

India is the host of the ICC World Cup 2023. Rohit Sharma is the current captain of the Indian team and is highly likely to lead the team in the tournament. However, if we take a glance at Rohit Sharma’s record as captain for the last two years, it’s not something to be proud of.

India lost bilateral ODI series against Bangladesh and Australia under Rohit Sharma. Also, India lost ICC WTC 2023 final to Australia. Last year, India failed to reach the final of the Asia Cup 2022. In addition, India also faced a humiliating 10-wicket loss to England in the semi-final of the ICC T20 World Cup last year.

As a result, selectors might choose a young squad for ICC World Cup 2023 and drop senior players from the team. History reveals to us how a young squad under MS Dhoni won the T20 World Cup for Team India in 2007. The team was short of senior players and revolutionized Indian cricket. In this article, we predict India’s squad for ICC World Cup 2023 is all senior players are rested.

Ishan Kishan scored a ton against Bangladesh in December 2022. Gill slammed a century against New Zealand in February 2023. Hence, both can be lethal openers for India in ODIs. They also offer a left-right combination.

In the absence of Rohit Sharma, the all-rounder led the team to a T20 series victory against Sri Lanka and New Zealand. Axar Patel has been a consistent performer for the team in all three formats for the last 2 years.
