The Indian cricket team's men and women are currently on their tour of England. After the women's team recently created history by defeating England in the T20I series on their soil, the men's team came from a humiliating loss at Lord's.
Shubman Gill-led Indian team members might have been disappointed after they tried their hearts out to chase the total of 193, despite the loss of early wickets. To level up their spirits, who could be a better man than the king himself?
The men's and women's Indian teams were welcomed by King Charles III, who interacted with each of the players and had a meaningful conversation with the new Indian skipper, Shubman Gill.

After losing the Lord's Test, which emerged as a major setback for India, they will now have to win their upcoming Test at Manchester at any cost to keep their chances alive in the series.
Shubman Gill reveals how much the King expressed his grief on India's unfortunate final wicket as well, and tried to give the Indian team a new spark.
"It was amazing to meet King Charles III and he was very kind and generous to call us. We had some really good conversations. King Charles III told us that the way our last batsman got out in the previous test match was quite unfortunate, the ball rolling on the stumps..."
"We told him that it was an unfortunate match for us and could have gone either ways. Hopefully, we will have better luck in both the next games," added Shubman Gill in an interview after he left the King's province.

Is Karun Nair staying in the Playing 11 for Manchester? Or the tour is over for India's no. 3
Karun Nair has failed consecutively in the India vs England Test series, where he seemingly made his comeback after his absence from the India red-ball series for 8 years. Despite several good domestic seasons, the player was not picked for the Indian side, and this was met with severe criticism by several fans as well as former cricketers.
Karun Nair is the second Indian batter to score a triple hundred in the red-ball format. The cricketer could not make much use of the second chance given to him. He is likely to be axed from the Indian playing XI. Though nothing has been said by Shubman Gill and the Indian management.
In the ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, Karun went on to score just 131 runs at an average of 21.83 in his 6 innings. Nair remains the weakest link in the Indian batting order.
Sai Sudharsan or Abhimanyu Easwaran: India has options to replace Nair
Indian batter Karun Nair has not been able to perform in the series despite the urge for him to score runs since this is his second chance after making a comeback.
However, after a patch of poor performances, Indian batter Sai Sudharsan, who made his debut for India in the first Test at Headingley, can be the ideal choice to replace the Indian no. 3.
On the other hand, Abhimanyu Easwaran, who has been part of the Indian team as a backup batter since the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, is yet to make his debut for India. He, though usually batting as an opener, can be included in the role of first-down batter as well.
