Yashasvi Jaiswal relieved Shubman Gill of the guilt laid upon the Indian skipper for his unfortunate dismissal, which cost him a double-century.

India defeated the West Indies in the First Test of the home series by 140 runs and an innings and then advanced to Delhi for the second match of the series. On the batting-friendly track of Delhi, Shubman Gill won the first toss and opted to bat first.

With an unchanged XI from the first Test win in Ahmedabad, India roared in the first innings of the second Test. They went on to score a massive 518 runs with big daddy hundreds from Yashasvi Jaiswal and skipper Shubman Gill.

"It's part of the game, so it's fine" - Yashasvi Jaiswal on his unfortunate dismissal

As Yashasvi Jaiswal stepped onto the field alongside opening partner KL Rahul, who scored a century in the previous game, the young left-hander looked very determined for a big score. The left-hander, until now, has been looking for some runs since he lacked form during the ending part of the England tour.

Despite the early dismissal of KL Rahul, he scored his 7th hundred of his Test career and went on to break a huge set of records. Batting alongside Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill, he finished Day 1 on 173. However, he was dismissed very early on Day 2, when he was run out after a mix-up with Captain Shubman Gill.

While the Indian fans blamed captain Shubman Gill for the dismissal, Yashasvi Jaiswal has relieved him of the unwanted fury with his latest remark. Jaiswal said, "It's (his run-out) part of the game, so it's fine."

"There is always a thought that what I can achieve and what can be my goal," Jaiswal

While speaking to Yashasvi Jaiswal, the presenter Harsha Bhogle cheerfully asked him about his intent while batting, as 5 out of his 7 hundreds have been 150+ scores. Jaiswal giggled at the fact and claimed that he thought that batting for one hour would help him find the groove and score runs easily.

"There is always a thought about what I can achieve and what can be my goal and my team's goal, I just try and be in the game and make sure if I'm in, I should take it long," remarked the Indian batter Jaiswal.

Indian spinners hand breakthroughs despite a batting-friendly track

Despite the batting-friendly track at Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium, Indian spinners still looked to have superior control over the game and knocked out the West Indian batters. Even in the West Indian attack, only the likes of Jomel Warrican and Roston Chase were amongst the wickets during the first innings.

For the Indian bowling innings, Ravindra Jadeja, the seasoned spinner in the Indian Test side, picked three wickets with some sharp help from the Indian fielders KL Rahul and Sai Sudharsan. Kuldeep Yadav also picked a wicket, as the West Indies finished at the score of just 140/4 on Day 2.
