Pakistan wicketkeeper Sarfaraz Ahmed has achieved a marvellous milestone in Tests in ongoing Sri Lanka vs Pakistan 1st Test in Galle. Sarfaraz Ahmed has crossed 3000 runs in Tests. As a result, he has become the first Pakistan wicketkeeper to reach the milestone.
The former Pakistan skipper is the part of Pakistan squad in the ongoing Test series against Sri Lanka. The right-handed batsman is also part of the SL vs PAK 1st Test in Galle. After scoring 17 runs in the 1st innings of the match, Sarfaraz Ahmed has amassed more than 3000 runs in Tests.

After Sarfaraz Ahmed, Kamran Akmal is the leading run-getter for Pakistan in Test cricket among wicketkeepers. Ahmed now accounts for 3009 runs in 52 Test matches for Pakistan.
At an average of 38.58, the right-handed batsman has slammed 4 centuries and 21 fifties in the longest format across 91 innings. However, Ahmed is not an active member in ODIs and T20I currently, with Mohammad Rizwan stealing the keeper’s slot in both white-ball formats.

Meanwhile, Pakistan trail by 145 runs in the 1st Test against Sri Lanka. Batting first in the match, Sri Lanka posted 312-10 in 1st innings.
