Abdul Samad share his thoughts about that game and said that they started well in the chase which gave him a lot of confidence. He also lauded Heinrich Klaasen and Glenn Phillips for their game-changing knocks. Speaking to the broadcaster ahead of the game against LSG, he said:
“We started well in the chase of 215 which is always difficult to chase. That gave us the confidence that we could win the game. We have a game changer in Heinrich Klaasen in the middle-order and he set things up. Then Glenn Phillips played a game-changing knock.”

Abdul Samad further admitted that he was lucky that he got out on a no-ball but said that he went to bat with confidence and had been practising the finisher’s role. He elaborated:
“I went there with confidence, got some luck with that no-ball and the last ball was right in the slot to hit for a six. I would have regretted it if I had been dismissed off the first ball (dropped by McCoy) because we had fought hard to get into a winning position. I’ve practiced to be a finisher, you know you wouldn’t get too many balls to face,” he concluded.
Sunrisers Hyderabad are currently locking horns with Lucknow Super Giants. A win for them would keep them in the race for playoffs but a loss here would mean that they will dent their chances more.
