The TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 has already seen its first finalist, as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) became the first team to qualify for the final. Tonight, it is the Eliminator between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh.
It is a do-or-die encounter between them as the loser will be knocked out of the competition. The two teams finished third and fourth, respectively, on the league table. This is going to be an exciting encounter with fans expected in large numbers, as the winner of this game will be facing the Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 2, who lost the first game against RCB.

The SRH vs RR clash will be an interesting one as both teams have amazing batting powerhouses in their top order, which are known to provide explosive starts in the matches. This contest will all depend on the batters who perform well in the powerplay and after that, and can hold on to their nerves in a knockout game.
The two sides have met once in the playoff stages back in 2024, where the Orange Army had the better of the Royals in Hyderabad. This is the first time these two will meet in the Eliminator. The pitch for the SRH vs RR clash will be a high-scoring one, as pitch no.4 is set to be used tonight, where chasing has been easy, the captain winning the toss will field first.
