Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra tweeted his team of the tournament on Twitter, and there was no place for any Indian cricketer in his playing lineup. Aakash Chopra has made some interesting views always about the game, and there have been a lot of followers of him waiting for him to name his team of the tournament.

Australia emerged as the winners of the T20 World Cup 2021 after some impressive performances throughout the tournament, and no expert had picked them to make it to the semi-finals from a tough group. However, they showed a lot of composure and managed to win against Pakistan, who was deemed as the title contenders.

Babar Azam To Lead Aakash Chopra’s Side

Aakash Chopra picked the Pakistan skipper Babar Azam to lead his side as the latter finished as the highest run-scorer in the tournament. Chopra went on name Jos Buttler and ICC’s man of the tournament David Warner as the openers of the side.

The middle-order comprised of Namibia’s David Wiese and Moeen Ali to do the finishing duties with Charith Asalanka and Aiden Markram playing at numbers 4 and 5. They can be very destructive at the back end of the innings and deserve a place in the lineup.

Aakash Chopra Picks A Strong Bowling Group

Aakash Chopra went on to pick the highest wicket-taker in the Super 12 stages, Adam Zampa in the lineup, and picked three outstanding fast bowlers. Josh Hazlewood was one of the surprising names that did so well in the 20 over the tournament, and Anrich Nortje was always going to be a threat with his pace.
