With the thrilling Test series between England and India completed, attention now switches to the upcoming Ashes battle in Australia.
After being held 2-2 by India on home soil, England will head to Australia as the underdogs to emerge victorious in The Ashes for the first time since 2015.
They have not won a Test match in Australia in 15 years – a record which highlights why the latest Ashes betting rates them as 11/5 shots to claim victory.
With that in mind, read on as we look at the schedule and live streaming details for The Ashes, before assessing England’s chances of toppling Australia.

The Ashes 2025/26 – Preview
England’s drawn series against India raised several questions about which players will be in the line-up when they face Australia later this year.
Zak Crawley cemented his position at the top of the order, but Ollie Pope’s place in the top three is under threat after he struggled for consistency against India.
Pope averages just 15.70 against Australia and notched just 67 runs in six innings during the dismal 4-0 Ashes defeat in 2021/22. Jacob Bethell could replace him.
England will be desperate for Ben Stokes to be fully fit for The Ashes series given that they look a more balanced team when he is playing.
Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Brydon Carse and Josh Tongue look nailed on to form the core of the bowling line-up, while Mark Wood will hope to force his way into the squad after injury.
Chris Woakes’ shoulder injury could open the door for Jamie Overton to travel to Australia. Off-spinner Shoaib Bashir is also expected to be in the squad.
Former Australia captain Ricky Ponting is a big fan of the 21-year-old and believes he could cause plenty of problems for Australia’s left-handed batsmen.
Rehan Ahmed is pushing for a place after impressing for Leicestershire with bat and ball, and he will be difficult to leave out if continues in the same vein.
England will hope to capitalise on Australia’s shaky top order, which looked woefully out of touch during the recent West Indies tour.
However, England’s recent Test record in Australia is hugely concerning and they make limited appeal as a betting proposition to win the series.
Australia have won 5-0, 4-0 and 4-0 in the last three Ashes series on home soil. England may put up more of fight this time around, making odds of 20/1 for a 3-0 defeat look extremely tempting.
