Virat Kohli reveals 3 heroes behind India's historic Edgbaston Test win vs England

India National Cricket Team modern-day batting great Virat Kohli praised the Shubman Gill & Co. following the victory over the England National Cricket Team in the second Test match.

Virat Kohli gave a special mention to three India National Cricket Team players in his X post after the visitors crushed the Three Lions at Edgbaston in Birmingham.

Brilliantly led by Shubman Gill with the bat: Virat Kohli

Moments after India clinched a dominant 336-run win, Virat Kohli took to his official X handle to praise India for playing fearlessly and lauded Shubman Gill for leading the team from the front with his exceptional batting performance.

Virat Kohli further gave a special mention to the pace-bowling duo of Akash Deep and Mohammed Siraj for delivering a sensational performance in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah.

"Great victory for India at Edgbaston. Fearless and kept pushing England to the wall. Brilliantly led by Shubhman with the bat and in the field and impactful performances from everyone. Shubman Gill, Akash Deep, and Mohammed Siraj were the top three performers for the India National Cricket Team in the Edgbaston Test match. Gill registered remarkable scores of 269 and 161 across two innings while Akash Deep (4/88 & 6/99) and Mohammed Siraj (6/70 & 1/57) dominated with the ball.

Meanwhile, the legendary opening batsman Virender Sehwag stated that the Edgbaston Test should be remembered for Gill's heroics. He stated:

"Outstanding win in Birmingham. While this should be remembered as the Shubman Gill Test match for his incredible 430 runs, but the efforts from Siraj in the first innings and Akash Deep in both innings on a surface which didn’t have much for the bowlers was an outstanding effort. Well done team."
