Actress-turned-politician Payal Ghosh is once again hogging the limelight on social media after making a big claim about another Indian cricket star. Last month, she was all over the news after openly giving a marriage proposal to India’s bowling star Mohammed Shami. With the right-arm pacer setting the World Cup on fire with his sensational performances, Payal Ghosh took to X to state that she would have no problem marrying the India pacer if he improves his English.

For those who don’t know, Payal Ghosh has worked in several films as well as a very popular television show. Currently, she is active in politics. She holds the post of vice president of the women’s wing in Ramdas Athawale’s political party.

Payal Ghosh claims to be in a relationship with Irfan Pathan:

On Friday (December 1), Payal Ghosh took to X that she was in a relationship with former India allrounder Irfan Pathan for five years. She also revealed that former India opener Gautam Gambhir used to give her missed calls while she was dating Irfan Pathan.

“After we broke up … I fell ill .. I couldn’t work for years… but he was the only guy whom I loved… after that I never loved anybody ?”

In two other posts, she wrote: “I dated Irfan Pathan for five years since 2011 and then everything ended. Gautam Gambhir and Akshay Kumar were after me but I only loved Irfan. I couldn’t see anyone other than him. I would tell Irfan about everything and would even show him the missed calls I would get from Gautam Gambhir.

“Irfan knew it well and he would check my phone calls. He even mentioned this in front of his brother Yusuf Pathan, Hardik, and Krunal Pandya when I went to meet him in Pune during a domestic match.“

Both Irfan Pathan and Gautam Gambhir are happily married now. While Pathan married Hyderabad-based model, Safa Baig in 2016, Gambhir tied the knot with Natasha Jain in 2011.
