Washington Sundar Responds After Wasim Jaffer Trolls Axar Patel, Mohammed Siraj And Ishant Sharma For Leaving All-Rounder Stranded On 96

Wasim Jaffer, the former India opener, has now become a social media sensation thanks to his witty and funny usage of memes on Twitter. He has one or more memes using pop culture as a reference to comment on the latest happenings in the cricket world.

His most latest comment came on Washington Sundar after the all-rounder was left stranded on 96* in the fourth Test match between India and England, as tailenders Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Siraj, and Axar Patel were cleaned out in an over by Ben Stokes before Sundar had a chance to get back on strike.

First Rishabh Pant (101) and Washington Sundar added more than 100 runs to rescue India from a precarious position 146/6 as England had made 205 in their first innings. Later after Pant got out, Sundar combined with Axar Patel to add 100 more runs to take India to 365 runs, which proved to be enough for the team.

India didn’t bat for the second time, as Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin combined to rout England and win the match for India by an innings and 25 runs and pocketed the series 3-1. India also qualified for the final of the ICC World Test Championship against New Zealand at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton.

Meanwhile, after Sundar was left not out on 96*, just four shy of his maiden Test century, Wasim Jaffer took to social media and posted a photo from 3 Idiots movie in which Amir Khan, Madhavan, and Sharman Joshi gatecrash a wedding to eat free food and then caught, to troll Axar Patel, Mohammed Siraj, and Ishant Sharma.

Washington Sundar’s father was not happy with the trio, who got out in a short period to deny his son a well-deserved century.

“Axar, Ishant and Siraj next time they meet Washington’s father at a function. But seriously this 96* is no less than a hundred, very well played @Sundarwashi5 #INDvENG,” Jaffer captioned his tweet.

However, Washington Sundar replied with a simple tweet and said that there was no animosity and his dad would instead treat the trio to lots of biryani and halwa, if and when they visit his home.

“Thanks a lot bhaiya! Dad will definitely treat them with a lot of biryani and Halwa!,” Washington replied.
