India's young opening batter Yashasvi Jaiswal made a huge mistake on the fourth day of the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne when he dropped Marnus Labuschagne at the gully. The dropped catch left India's captain Rohit Sharma and the bowler Akash Deep furious at Jaiswal.
It was a simple catch that came straight into Jaiswal's lap but he spilled the chance despite getting both hands to it. Labuschagne, as he has done throughout the series, went for a wide-length ball outside off stump for a late cut.
But the ball bounced a little more and went straight towards Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was standing close as well. Both Rohit Sharma and Akash Deep couldn't stop themselves from showing their emotions. Akash Deep even said a few words to Jaiswal.

Rohit Sharma, who was standing at first slip reacted furiously while Akash Deep let out a few words to Jaiswal by showing his frustration. The young fast bowler from Bengal has been extremely unlucky in the series so far.
Akash Deep has gone past the bat a numerous times but hasn't got the edge. He even beat last innings' centurion Steve Smith a no. of times but didn't find the edge. The dropped catch didn't please him one bit and he was clearly frustrated.
It was a huge moment in the game as Labuschagne was the only recognized batter for Australia. His wicket would have exposed Australia's tail which would have allowed India to have a shot at them.
Tough day for Yashasvi Jaiswal
It was a tough day for Yashasvi Jaiswal in the field. The youngster had earlier dropped a catch off Jasprit Bumrah's bowling as well. After Labuschagne's dropped catch, Jaiswal dropped another catch, although a difficult one this time.
During the end stages of the post-lunch session, Jadeja bowled a perfect ball that hit Cummins high on the bat. The ball went low to Jaiswal but was at a catchable height. However, he got up too early and missed a sharp chance.
Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj lead the way
While Akash Deep didn't get the wicket, Jasprit Bumrah and Mphammed Siraj were the stars of the day for India. As usual, Bumrah troubled Australian batters right from the start and was amongst the wickets.
He picked up the debutant Sam Konstas' wicket first. Bumrah got an able support from Mohammed Siraj, who looked in good rhythm. Siraj picked up the wicket of Usman Khawaja and then got out Steve Smith cheaply as well.
Bumrah came to the party as he dismissed Mitchell Marsh and Alex Carey to have Australia six down before Labuschagne and Cummins held the fort.
Meanwhile, Yashasvi Jaiswal had a good time with the bat in the first innings. The left-handed opener scored an excellent 82 off 118 balls which included 11 fours and 1 six. He was unfortunately run-out after a huge mix-up with Virat Kohli.
