Watch- Australian Cricket Team buried by Rohit Sharma off the field with a hilarious jibe in the press conference
Indian captain Rohit Sharma took a cheeky dig at the Australian cricket team during the press conference ahead of India's semi-final clash against England in Guyana. During the press conference, Rohit seemed in a light mood and smiled when he spoke of Australia.
In the last Super 8 match against Australia, India emerged victorious by 24 runs to reach the semi-finals unbeaten. Rohit himself played a match-winning knock of 92 off just 41 balls to demolish the Australian bowling attack. He hit 7 fours and 8 sixes during his knock as India scored 205-5.
The bowlers then did their job perfectly as they bundled out Australia for 181-7. Despite a brilliant innings of 76 off 43 balls by Travis Head, Australia failed to chase down the target and fell short.

Rohit Sharma trolls Australia in the press conference
During the press conference before the semi-final, Rohit Sharma was asked about India's biggest takeaway after the win over Australia.
"There's no more Australian cricket team in this competition," Rohit replied with a big smile on his face while all the people in the room also shared a laugh.

'This format is all about confidence' - Rohit Sharma
The Indian captain then praised his team for showing confidence against an Australian team that has won so many championships in the past. He stressed the fact of executing the plans as one of the reasons behind India's win.
"No, look, I think Australia is a great side, without a doubt. That's probably the reason they have won so many championships. But for us, the last game, I think the confidence, the game we played with, with our bat, with our ball, I think that is something that we can take away with us, that confidence of bowlers executing their plans, batters going out there and doing their job," Rohit replied.
"So, I think that was the big one for us and when you play a game against a quality team, top team and when you win like that, everything falling into place, that can give you so much confidence and I think this format is all about confidence," he added.
The 37-year-old opener also spoke about his blistering knock against the Aussies and his game plan while batting. He added that he wants to put pressure on the bowlers in any way he can.
"And personally, for me as well, I wanted to try and do something which I've been trying to do for a number of years, which is to try and put pressure on the bowlers in whatever way I can. And for me to do that was a great satisfaction at the end of the day. I was waiting for the game to end. Obviously, we wanted the result in our favor. And that is when you feel that what you did there was very satisfying," Rohit said.
India will play the semi-final match against England at Providence Stadium, Guyana on June 27. It will be a repeat of last edition's T20 World Cup semi-final when England defeated India by 10 wickets.
