India wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav has brought his team back into the game in the ongoing match against Australia in the T20 World Cup 2024. The match between the two teams is underway at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet, St Lucia.

Australia are right on the track in the chase of 206 runs. They have been batting extremely well and have put India under tremendous pressure. Skipper Mitchell Marsh (37) along with Travis Head started off brutally and played sensational strokes all over the park.

After Mitchell Marsh got out, it seemed that India would slow up things but that wasn't the case as Glenn Maxwell came out all guns blazing. The all-rounder came and played some magnificent strokes all over the park.

But it was Kuldeep Yadav, who made sure that he brought his team back into the game. The wrist-spinners produced a peach of a delivery to which the Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell had no clue and had to take the long walk back to the pavilion.

On the 1st ball of the 14th over, Kuldeep Yadav bowled a loopy full delivery, to which Glenn Maxwell walked down the wicket for a big slog across the line. He swung through thin air and missed the ball completely to see his stumps getting shattered.

Glenn Maxwell walked out too early and showed his cards too early. As Kuldeep Yadav saw him coming for a big shot, the wrist-spinner adjusted accordingly and outfoxed the batter to remove him after having a brutal start with the bat.

Here's the video:

After Glenn Maxwell got out, nothing went in Australia's way as Indian bowlers were all over the opposition. Travis Head (76) kept his team in the but it was Jasprit Bumrah, who removed him and almost sealed the game for his team. India restricted the opposition to 181 runs and won the game by 24 runs.

That's what I have to do (in the powerplay), try and see what the bowlers are doing, and play accordingly - Rohit Sharma after his 92-run knock

India captain Rohit Sharma, who won player of the match for his 92-run knock, talked about his innings after the match. He claimed that playing aggressively at the top is his role and pointed out how he played, keeping in mind the breeze.

He also talked about missing his century, saying that milestone doesn't matter to him as he is focused on putting bowlers under pressure. Speaking to broadcasters, he explained:

"That's what I have to do (in the powerplay), try and see what the bowlers are doing, play accordingly. They changed their plans and tried to bowl against the breeze. Needed to be smart, was just backing myself to do. You have to understand that bowlers are smart, they are not going to bowl into the breeze. I was thinking of hitting everything possible.

"You can access all sides of the field, that is what I was trying to do. It has been a good wicket and you need to back yourself on good wickets, glad that it came off today. I told you that 50s and 100s don't matter to me. Need to put the bowlers under pressure, and you need big scores for that. I tried to access all sides of the field, not just one side," he concluded.
