Alzarri Joesph scored just 10 runs with the bat and with his wicket, West Indies lost their 8th wicket. Chris Woakes bagged a four-wicket haul in the first innings. The all-rounder returned with the figures of 4/84 and his performance saw England ending West Indies' innings on 457 runs.

Josh De Silva ended with an innings of unbeaten 82 runs off 122 balls. His knock powered West Indies to a total of 457 runs and helped them take a first-innings lead of 42 runs and be at the top of the game.
